Lemon Ginger Turmeric Wellness Shots

Today, let's talk about a little shot of sunshine that's sure to brighten your dayā€”the Lemon Ginger Turmeric Wellness Shot!

Picture this: zesty lemon, spicy ginger, golden turmeric, coming together in a powerful elixir that packs a punch. These wellness shots are like a mini sunrise in a glass, bursting with flavor and health benefits.

Why are these shots so incredible? Well, let me break it down for you:

  • Golden Turmeric: Turmeric is a superstar spice known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It's like giving your body a warm, golden hug from the inside out.

  • Zesty Lemon: Lemon adds a refreshing tang and a boost of vitamin C. It's like a wake-up call for your taste buds and your immune system!

  • Ginger Zing: Ginger brings the heat! It's great for digestion, can soothe nausea, and adds a spicy kick to these shots.

INGREDIENTS

Servings: 4 (Shots)

  • 2 small oranges (add 1-2 more oranges for added sweetness / omit or add another lemon for less sweetness)

  • 4 small lemons (add 1-2 more lemons for more acidity / reduce by half and add another orange for less acidity)

  • Ā½ cup chopped fresh turmeric (peeling optional)

  • Ā½ cup chopped fresh ginger (peeling optional)

  • Ā¼ tsp fresh black pepper (for topping)

  • 1 tsp raw honey (optional/ offers antioxidant benefits and antimicrobial properties + additional sweetness)

  • Ā½ tsp extra virgin olive oil, (optional / to help improve turmeric absorption)

INstructions

  1. JUICER: To a juicer, add orange, lemon, turmeric, and ginger (depending on the juicer, you may need to peel the orange and lemon). If adding in raw honey or EVOO, add to the juiced mixture and give a good stir.

  2. BLENDER: Add turmeric and ginger to a high-speed blender. Then add the juice of the oranges and the lemons (this helps the mixture blend easier, and removes the pulp/rind). A juicing tool like this can help! If adding in raw honey or EVOO, add these ingredients into the blender too. Blend on high for 30 seconds.

  3. Add a little water if it has trouble blending but you shouldnā€™t need any. Then strain through a small fine mesh strainer, or nut milk bag.

  4. FOR SERVING: Divide between serving glasses and enjoy! For maximum benefits, enjoy immediately and top with fresh cracked black pepper.

  5. FOR STORING: Store any leftovers in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours (though best when fresh).

  6. LEFTOVER PULP: You can compost any leftover pulp or freeze into an ice cube tray and add to future smoothies.

These Lemon Ginger Turmeric Wellness Shots are perfect for starting your day or giving yourself a mid-afternoon boost. Trust me, your body will thank you!
